 CEEF is  a non profitable and nongovernmental organization exsit to empower Community Based Organizations with sustainable development models that enable them help rural communities to use their natural, human, social assets to reduce poverty and become self-reliant

CEEF believes that the MRU region has vast natural and human resources capacity to do things differently for the improvement of their socio-Political and Economic conditions. The Citizens or people in this region are an asset to the development of their countries and communities and with the right guidance and support can become influential leaders of positive change.

CEEF was born out of the civil wars that engulfed the region in much of the 1990s.  The passion was aroused need to help badly affected communities to recover from psychosocial and material war damages. First known as Community Fellowship Program (CFP), it focused on trauma healing counseling for returnees.  In August 1994, the organization was officially registered as a not-for-profitable organization and underwent cerise of change of name and in  2018 the organization transformed into a foundation. 

The organization with 25 years of experience in program management has implemented projects with innovative and effective strategies, promoting democratic values, gender equity in education, health and governance which met the protection and empowerment needs of women, children and youths in Liberia and has earned a successful reputation as a accountable project manager and strategic service provider with expertise in advocacy and capacity building

Advocacy for Women and Adolescent Protection

2011-2016

With support from USAID through IREX, UN Foundation, and VIIV Healthcare, we contributed to the passing of the rape law and amendment of the National Policy on Girls Education. 5,000 young girls and 2,400 Parent-Teachers Associations participated.

Food Security and Climate Change

2013-2015

With UNDP support, we promoted food security through training on environmental-friendly practices addressing climate change effects. 500 heads of cooperatives in Lofa County benefitted through rice production, processing and sales.

Rule of Law and Administration of Justice

2005-2015

With support from UNDP, UNFEM, and UNICEF, we worked across fifteen counties of Liberia providing capacity building training. 2,500 community leaders, women and youth groups trained in gender, rule of law and administrative justice.

Youth Livelihood Skills Development

2007-2013

With support from the Liberian government, World Bank (through ARC), and USAID (through DAI), 7,500 youths acquired livelihood skills including business management, vocational skills, job skills and life skills.

He has 10 years as a classroom teacher and principal, plus a decade in community social work. Schooled in Liberia and the United States, he leads with expertise in program management
